ducks and hiking

We went on a hike a little while ago. It was nice to get out when the weather was good. Aaron wore Ethan on the front on the way up and the back on the way down. Ethan fell asleep on the way down. It was cute. Aaron liked that his boy "cuddled" up to him
Ethan was sitting in the living room one morning after breakfast just cute as could be and smiling couldnt resist a photo.

Sunday (5-17) Aaron and his friend were out in the front eating breakfast burgers and knoticed this cute little family in the yard. by the time i got out with the camera they crossed the road and then decied to come back. Way cute

took this one yesterday. cute little bugger isnt he

Crawling Babies, and Kidney Stones

So things are going well Ethan is getting back on schedule now that he doesn't have to have formula. He is sleeping in this photo with his knees up under him (a sign of things to come?) He got to see Granny Henderson and Aunt Treasa yesterday. Aaron is working 4 10's now so he is home 3 days a week and that makes Ethan and mommy happy. He is taking a computer and math class for the fall semester at Weber state.
We got a tent trailer. it is just the right size. We are going to Allred flats (just outside of Afton Wyo) for memorial weekend. we will be leaving the 22ND and coming back on Tuesday the 26Th

Thursday the 7Th I was in excruciating pain. I couldn't keep anything down. and I was nauseated. After Aaron came home we had Aaron's mom take Ethan. Aaron took me to the ER.I wasn't top priority so After 5 unnecessary hours (the hospital was put on lock down due to Gang "activity") a CT scan and a little morphine It ended up being a Kidney stone. They gave me percoset and FloMax to help pass the stone. and by the way you cant nurse while on either drug. So I had to pump. and FloMax has a natural drying side effect so i went from 6 oz to less than 1 in a little less than 24 hours. I finally passed the stone (after 6 days) and Now Ethan is much Happier now that he doesn't have to have formula. Plus that is expensive too. It is a crappy photo, but that is a dime next to it. ("urine" trouble if you get one ha ha)

Ethan is sitting pretty good. Usually only falls when he is reaching for something. He is also almost able to pull himself up. If I am holding his hands he can stand up it is funny because I will try to pull him into a sitting position and he will just stand up. You cant even bend his legs to get him to sit. Anything to make mommy laugh.

Ethan is growing growing growing. He is starting to crawl. Mostly just pulls himself forward with his arms while laying on his tummy. But he is getting there.

Happy Trails

I am so excited! Saturday the 18Th Aaron and I got a tent trailer. Aaron came home from work and suggested the idea of making a "tab" trailer (basically a covered bed for camping) he called his dad to see if we could use his flat bed trailer. His dad looked on KSL.com and a lady had posted a tent trailer for $550. Aaron's dad said he would "finance" it for us. We sped out to N. Ogden. She said that she was expecting someone to transfer some money into her account and if they had not done it she would sell it to us. We went to the bank and the most we could pull out of the ATM was $300 (it was 3:00pm Saturday banks were closed) so we were hoping that she would accept a $250 check. we were in luck. The trailer has 2 full beds and the table area converts into a bed. It has electricity and a ice box. A sink and a stove and some storage. The stove and sink slide out so you can cook outside. Plus the table can be set up outside. We are going to go camping this weekend and try it out! Ethan love it. I set him down on one of the beds and he laughed and laughed and laughed I couldn't get enough of it. Happy Trails

Sleeping babies and a Poor Spike

We went to to scrapbook USA expo on the 21st. It was a blast. We went with Grandma Leavitt and Great Aunt Char and Aunt Mindy. We found some great deals and some good deals. Ethan was very good. Plus he flirted with all the girls. I was at one booth, the lady was trying to tell me about her company and she had a hard time telling me about it because Ethan kept smiling and giggling at her. The little flirt. Have a great weekend okay! Ethan fell asleep while he was eating. It was just too cute to not get a photo of.
We got Mia and Spike fixed on the 6th of march. It hasn't really fazed Mia but Spike just wont stop licking. It was funny because he realized something was 'missing' and he would run to me scared. I tried putting a onzie that didn't fit Ethan anymore on him to help prevent the licking. Spike just found out a way to pull it off. So we had to get a cone for his head. now he just pouts in he bed and only gets up when he is really hungry. Its for the better spike.

Ethan is playing in his play mat and pulled it over. He was just too cute to not photograph!

I just love this photo Ethan is giving the will you stop taking my photo look.

Ethan got a new ride! He likes it too. It is a snugli front and back pack (Aaron is here modeling the pack in the backpack mode.) Ethan likes it when you are looking in the mirror with him in it for some reason he likes to look at himself. We want to go to the zoo and test drive it.

5 months and a new me

Well Ethan is 5 months now. and is growing like a weed. He has gotten use to his green beans and cereal. I had to switch his brand of rice cereal because Wal-mart never has the one i usually but. So he is having a time adjusting to Gerber. (I started with beech nut) But it is going well. He weighs 15 pounds. and is as cute as ever. I donated my hair to Locks of Love. I gave 12 inches. I got the cut for free from Great Clips because i donated. (I had to pay for the wash and style though) All in all I am happy with the cut. I didn't get a photo of the cut in the salon oh well. The girls at the salon loved Ethan said he was so cute and that they loved his smile. One was jealous because Ethan has hair. Her kids (one is 2 the other 7mo) still don't have hair.

I finally got it done! My ribbon organizer is complete for all my scrapbooking ribbon. I think that of all the scrapbook items out there ribbon is my favorite so i needed a way to organize the large amount i have. I was going to use 2 x 4's but Aaron and I made a laundry basket organizer out of PVC and i has plenty left over so i just used PVC. I want to build another one but i will wait on that. this will be sufficient for now. I used one 10 foot length cut in 3 pieces one was 20 in and the other was cut in half even (about 4 foot). i had a 20 in left over from the laundry thing. I cut the 20 in lengths in half 10 in each. then used t connectors to connect them. I used 3/4 in PVC and needed another length and all we had in the garage was 1/2 in so i had to get 2 t connectors that reduce down. it turned out awesome. i put cup hooks up both sides of the PVC then used dowels to attach the ribbon. except the very top which is PVC

Weekend Extravaganza

Well this saturday we went to Logan / Cache Valley for a baby shower for Aaron's nephew. They are having a little girl and she is due March 19th. It was fun. Ethan got to hang out with his cousin that was born on Oct 3 (8 days before Ethan) they sure like each other. We (all us girls at the shower) caught them holding hands. too cute if you ask me. Ethan sure likes to talk to her. She is not so talkative. While we were up in CV we went shopping. Aaron is taking several backpack trips with his brothers and needed some supplies. He wanted some mountering boots but could not find any. we went to several shops till we ended at big 5 and he got some nice ones for $50. I think he has everything now. that is till he thinks of something else.

Ethan got to see his first big screen movie. Aaron took us out to see Twilight for the first time. It wasnt quite what I expected but i did enjoy it. Ethan wanted to talk through the whole thing so Aaron kept him quietly entertained in the back till he fell asleep.
We had Dad and Beth over on sunday for Turkey dinner. We had Turkey, mashed potatos, stuffing, home made rolls, cranberries, pie and ice cream. It was nice. We invited neilo ray but he was not able to come because Sharie is in the hospital and he was with her. We pray that she gets better.

One heck of a snow storm

So how about that snow storm yesterday! We got hit hard. I now have 8 inches of snow in my yard. It is such wet heavy snow that the shade screen over Mia's kennel fell down. (It left a big enough gap that she can still get in to her dog house. The one photo is the pile of snow at the neighbors house our house faces south so the snow melts a little faster. The other is the bird house in my backyard. My in laws received 12-16 inches of snow.they have always gotten more snow even though they are only 15 min further south in Roy but the rest of the week is suppose to be nice. We will see

First Breakfast

This was a cute outfit that he got. I couldnt resist taking his photo in in. His daddy loves him so much. I catch him doing the sweetest things together. Yesterday I found them playing in the bedroom together.
Ethan found his feet on sunday now all he wants to do is hold on to them.

Monday was Ethan's first cereal experience. He got to enjoy beechnut rice cereal. He wasnt so sure of it at first thenthe more he ate it the more he enjoyed it. After every bite though he would stick his fingers in his mouth and i had a heck of a time pulling them out so i could give him more cereal. I hope that today will go better.

Ear impression

When I am nursing Ethan it is so cute I get an impression of his ear on my arm.

Happy babies and mexican food

Ethan had his 4 month checkup yesterday. He is in the 33% for his weight at 14 lbs and 3.5 oz. The 51% for his length at 25 in. and 23% for the circumference of his head at 16.25 in The Dr said that he is progressing well. He did have to have shots though and that was sad. It always breaks my heart when he cry's. Poor little guy got 3 shots. Dr said that we can start him on cereal and green vegetables, and plums. (He has been a little constipated) So we are starting a new adventure.
For valentines day Aaron took us to the Mayan. It was fun to see Ethan enjoy himself. (even after his shots) He liked the colors and the water. They have remodeled since the last time we went. They did a very nice job. We had a hindu couple sit at the table next to us. Her dress was very beautiful. Nice though. Ethan's pain must of hit him on the way home. When we got to Kaysville he started crying and we couldn't get him to stop. It was sad. By clearfield the snow started and he quit crying on the last 10 feet of the road to the house.

Jeff Foxworthy Concert

We went to the Jeff Foxworthy concert on Saturday the 7th. It was at the Energy Solutions Arena (use to be Delta Center) Dad gave us the tickets. Neilo Ray was going to go but he changed his mind. It was a great night out. Aaron's mom and dad watched Ethan for us. The concert was opened by a band called The Standards. they are a 5 brother band out of Tennessee. One of the members can beat box like no other it was awesome. You know when you are stopped at a light and that car pulls up and all you can hear is their radio. Well this guy can do that with his mouth. it was amazing. too bad i couldn't record it. Well these are photos i took. they are not that great because you cant get good photos when people are moving all over the place. Our seats were good not too far from the stage. and they were on the isle.

Ethan at 4 months

Ok so it may seem like i am posting 500 things a day (ok so i am) but I am getting to know how to do this and i have a bit of things to catch you all up on. Here are some photos I took of Ethan today for his 4 month page in his scrapbook. He rolled over from his back to his belly on the 10th. soon he will be crawling and then walking. Spike is not sure what to do with him. I think Spike is still angry that we brought him home. But what can you do. Spike is our dog. Ethan sure loves him he gets excited when ever he sees him. The other day he grabbed Spikes ear and liked how soft they were. He didnt hurt the dog but spike wasnt too fond of it. Spike is really good with Ethan too. I think that I need some chocolate!
Ok so I admit I watch way too much TV. I have come to like Studio 5 though. They have so many great ideas and advice. www.studio5/ksl.com is the websight with tonz of fun things to look at. I also like to watch scrapbook memories tv it is on channel 11-2 their websight is www.scrapbookmemoriestv.com if you want to go.
